Mission Statement
Reckitt exists to protect, heal, and nurture in the pursuit of a cleaner, healthier world. This means operating in a responsible, equitable and sustainable way while innovating products that improve lives while reducing environmental and societal impacts.
What is Supplier Diversity?
Supplier diversity is an initiative to include diverse suppliers within a company’s supply chain. A diversity-owned business is a company that is at least 51% owned and operated by a person or people that are recognized as underrepresented socioeconomic classes.
Why is Supplier Diversity important to us at Reckitt?
At Reckitt, we believe a strong supply chain starts with serving our customers and their communities.
A diverse supply chain, which includes businesses of all sizes, is crucial for promoting economic growth and creating jobs in underrepresented communities.
By working with diverse suppliers, we gain access to new perspectives, specialized expertise, and innovative solutions. A diverse supply chain is often more agile and can quickly adapt to changing market conditions. These suppliers make an impact.
Our commitment to an Inclusive Supply Chain
At Reckitt, we are committed to ensuring all suppliers have fair and equitable access to procurement opportunities. With our significant purchasing power, we recognize the opportunity to drive meaningful changes with a supply chain that includes both large and diverse suppliers.
Reckitt will achieve this by:
- Validating diverse suppliers regularly
- Establishing indirect reporting for large suppliers
- Accountability for development within management
- Tracking participation and distribution of awarded contracts
- Auditing to confirm diverse suppliers are meeting or exceeding expectations
By taking an active role in promoting economic development, Reckitt seeks to empower the suppliers that support our brands. We believe in building communities, not just products. All qualified suppliers will receive consideration without regard to age, disability or medical condition; color, ethnicity, race, citizenship, and national origin; religion, faith; pregnancy, family status and caring responsibilities; sexual orientation; sex, gender identity, gender expression, and transgender identity; protected veteran status; size or any other basis protected by appropriate law.
Who qualifies as a diverse supplier?
A company that is at least 51% owned and operated by a person or people that are recognized as underrepresented. In the US, Reckitt considers the following diverse groups:
Woman-owned Business
Minority-owned Business
Veteran-owned Business
Disable-owned Business
LGBTQ-owned Business
Certification as a diversity-owned business benefits both suppliers and corporations like Reckitt. We strongly urge diverse businesses to seek certification with a nationally recognized organization or a state/federal agency.
The Importance of Small Business and Social Impact Organizations
Small businesses are a foundational part of the U.S. economy, acting as major drivers of job growth, innovation, and local community development. They collectively contribute significantly to the nation's economic output. Reckitt is committed to bringing in more small businesses into the supply chain.
Social impact businesses, also known as social enterprise or purpose-driven businesses, are organizations that prioritize creating a positive social, economic, or environmental impact alongside generating profit.
How to become an Impact Supplier for Reckitt
Reckitt seeks opportunities for inclusion within the supply chain. The best way to increase participation for both new and existing suppliers is to register through Reckitt’s Vendor Registration Portal.
The portal is a helpful tool to match Reckitt buyers with businesses based on their products, services, and geographic coverage. While it does not guarantee an awarded bid, registration does help in the consideration process.
