Maciej Chojnacki was new to the fast-moving world of global supply chains. But after spotting a post for a role at Reckitt’s Global Hub in Warsaw, he took his chance and found a career. “While studying, I worked as a banking intern. I soon found I wanted something different. While I hadn’t worked in demand analysis before, I decided to go for it.”
Now he’s leading forecasting across regions, collaborating with our teams to ensure data-driven decisions that carry real influence. “I’m working with people across Europe, India, and the Middle East, each with different work styles. So I’ve grown a lot in terms of communication and relationship building.”
Progress has been swift and steady for Maciej. He’s gone from Analyst to Senior Analyst to Manager, and all while working towards his Master’s degree. “Reckitt makes it possible to balance my studies and my job. I’m able to take my course part-time.”
What motivates Maciej most is seeing the difference his work makes.
We influence what products end up in stores. That visible impact is really motivating. I feel like I’ve been part of building something from the ground up. It’s like my little project.
One of his biggest challenges was helping to build a new role and process from scratch. “Convincing others to adopt new ways of working was tough, but it taught me how to manage connections and bring people along on the journey.”
Maciej is driven by people and connection. He’s part of our social events team, organising activities that bring colleagues together. “I care about creating a positive atmosphere. These small things make a big difference and create a workplace that people enjoy coming to.”
Outside the office, sport is Maciej’s way to recharge. Though a heart condition ended his semi-professional football and swimming career, he found new ways to stay active. “Martial arts, gym sessions, and padel help me disconnect and reset mentally. It’s like therapy for me.”
