In the US
As part of its ‘Here for Healthy Schools’ campaign, Lysol has partnered with actor, author and entrepreneur Sarah Michelle Gellar, donating over 16 million disinfecting wipes to help keep germs at bay on the return to school. As part of its ‘Buy One, Donate One’ programme, for every pack of Lysol disinfecting wipes bought another is being donated, working with the Kids in Need Foundation in a bid to help curb the spread of infections in schools.
In the Middle East
Our Dettol Middle East team are empowering the thousands of children returning to school with a specially composed anthem encouraging a safer back to school journey. The anthem, titled “Ifrah Bil Lamma” or “The Joy of Togetherness”, has been composed by five young regional artists from “The Voice Kids” with brilliant lyrics by Nizar Francis and amazing composition by Jean Marie Riachi.
Sagrotan, our leading disinfection brand in Germany, has been providing valuable support to schools and families across the country since 2015.
Most recently, Sagrotan has expanded its ‘Sagrotan curriculum’, creating specially prepared teaching materials to help teachers educate children about the importance of proper hygiene in a fun and playful way. A child-friendly brochure is also helping familiarise primary school children with the topic of hygiene both at home and when at school.
Our shared success initiative "Nutriendo un futuro mejor" - Nourishing a Better Future – is set to help more than one million vulnerable children as they return to school this year. Our brands Choco Milk and Cal-C-Tose have joined forces with not-for-profit organisation Bancos de Alimentos de México to provide 26 million glasses of milk modifiers to ensure children are getting the nutrition they need.
Dettol Banega Swasth is supporting school re-openings by distributing essential ‘return to school’ kits to more than 100,000 schools across India. The SwasthyaMantra return to school kits comprise of a range of technical guidelines, alongside different resources including posters and decals, and valuable teaching materials and Dettol products to help teach children to adopt Covid-19 appropriate behaviours and procedures in schools.
"While different states in India are gradually reopening and starting in-person classes, parents’ apprehensions of their kids' health and safety are a continuing concern that state governments and school administrations are attempting to reassure."Ravi Bhatnagar Director External Affairs & Partnerships
"The Return to school kits have made a real difference in building the confidence of parents and teachers alike – the technical guidelines imprinted on decals are easy to place, and the checklist provided to schools along with the products in the kit have given schools clarity on what they need to ensure that teachers and children remain safe."
