Climate change threatens the health of our planet
By changing our actions and behaviours even in small ways, we create a big impact together.
Over the last 60 years, our planet’s annual rate of increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide has been about 100 times faster than previous natural increases. The environmental consequences are having a negative impact on people’s lives, right now. Put simply, the climate crisis is a health crisis. To tackle this, we must face some home truths about our home planet, and the urgent action all of us must take.
As a global company, we know first-hand how climate change is adversely affecting access to clean water, food, sanitation and basic health and hygiene. We see the reality of increasing global health inequality. But we also recognise how people everywhere can make a positive difference through their everyday actions. Wherever we live or work, we can all take the opportunity to improve our lives and the lives of others
From individuals and families to businesses and governments, everyone can play a role in tackling climate change and the health crisis it’s causing. At Reckitt, it’s our role to help inspire, support, educate and empower people at every level to make better choices. We have a fight on our hands to make access to the highest quality hygiene, wellness and nourishment a right and not a privilege. With your support and influence, we will win.
