Callum Couser’s time at Reckitt has spanned a decade of innovation, collaboration, and products that make a real-world difference. “After graduating from The University of Glasgow with a Masters in Chemistry, I joined the Future Leadership Program in Heidelberg, Germany. My first job was working on Finish Quantum Ultimate. So my breakthrough happened with a breakthrough product.”
Now as R&D Senior Manager in Montvale, NJ, Callum leads a team of scientists developing cutting-edge aerosol products for global brands like Lysol and Dettol.
We’ve built a culture of scientific rigour and deep consumer understanding together. My role? Empower the team to deliver disruptive products that succeed in the market.
Callum’s career has been shaped by a series of moves, each offering new challenges. From factory floors to strategic planning, he’s built a diverse skill set. “I spent a few years on revenue growth, business continuity, and productivity projects for Finish and Lysol. Now I’m back in R&D Innovation. And each role brings a different perspective.
Working across the business has taught Callum the value of adaptability and resilience. By navigating supply chain disruptions and late-night validations, he’s learned a lot. “These things taught me how to take a deep breath and approach tough problems rationally. They’re a reminder to always have a plan B. And sometimes a plan C!”
At the heart of Callum’s motivation is a belief in the power of people and teamwork. He sees collaboration as the key to solving complex challenges and driving meaningful innovation. “What really drives me is people and relationships. I believe the greatest successes are the ones we celebrate as a team.”
Outside work, Callum brings that same spirit of partnership to his personal life. As a father of twin daughters, he values the balance between professional ambition and family life. “At home, it means teaming up with my wife as we ride the highs and lows of raising our twin daughters together.”
