Reckitt Invests Up to $600 Million to Accelerate U.S.-based Innovation, Expand Access to Healthcare Products, and Strengthen Supply Resilience

NUTLEY, N.J., SEPTEMBER 16, 2026 – Reckitt today announced up to a $600 million, multi-year transformation of its U.S. operations across two sites to accelerate the long-term growth of its U.S. business. Investments will include relocation and integration of its commercial and R&D capabilities into a campus in New Jersey and significantly expanded plans for its largest over-the-counter (OTC) manufacturing facility in North Carolina.
These phased investments aim to fast-track innovation, sharpen responsiveness to evolving consumer needs, and strengthen supply resilience to ensure reliable access to essential healthcare products. Reckitt employs more than 4,000 employees at seven manufacturing sites and three science and innovation centers across the United States.
Reckitt recently relocated its North American campus in New Jersey to support commercial and operational teams. As the next phase of development, the company will break ground on a new state-of-the-art science and innovation center with best-in-class capabilities in disinfection, microbiology, surface care, laundry care and personal care.
This flagship germ protection hub within Reckitt’s global R&D network will be pivotal in advancing Reckitt’s portfolio, including Lysol. At the center of this transformation is a new model for innovation that brings together world-class R&D, advanced scientific capabilities, and commercial expertise to speed the path from concept to shelf.
Reckitt has doubled its initial investment for its state-of-the art OTC manufacturing facility in North Carolina. The site will become its largest OTC manufacturing facility in the U.S. with additional funding supporting expanded production capacity for Mucinex® tablets and liquids, as well as increased production volumes for Move Free®. The site will open in the first half of 2027. This investment also significantly expands the facility’s physical footprint, creating the space needed to support future growth, enhance manufacturing flexibility, and accommodate new capabilities as demand evolves.
On November 19, the company will be hosting its first Reckitt Focus On event in the United States, where Jérôme Lemaire and other U.S. leaders will showcase the North America business. To register your interest in joining us, please use the following link: event.swisscom.ch/v/northamerica.
